Justin Timberlake hasn’t just had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week, he’s had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad last few years. His music career is in the worst shape it’s ever been, his biggest acting credits recently are for movies about trolls and he was recently arrested for driving while intoxicated by a cop who didn’t even recognize him.
Michael didn't care about who Justin Timberlake is (*cheers from the crowd*) because Michael is a cop (*boos from the crowd*) who has been infuriating the rich for months (*conflicted noises from the crowd*). https://t.co/EHe55YidxP

The cop’s failure to recognize Timberlake led to a hilarious exchange that has since become a meme. Timberlake complained that this was going to ruin “the tour,” to which the cop asked, “What tour?” and Timberlake responded, “The world tour.” Did anyone actually know he was embarking upon a world tour?

As it turns out, he’s been on the Forget Tomorrow World Tour, his first tour in five years, since April, and with the benefit of hindsight, some footage from his previous shows is starting to make a little more sense.

Take this video from his Las Vegas show on May 11th, which was mistakenly labeled on Twitter as being from his first concert post-arrest; he’s drenched in sweat, and his eyes are bugging out of his skull and redder than the pits of hell. He does not look well, to say the least.
“sir i’m gonna need you to step out of the vehicle and walk in a straight line.”

Despite having the nerve to arrest the former boybander, it’s not clear that the Sag Harbor cop who didn’t recognize Timberlake did ruin the world tour in the end. Timberlake performed his actual first concert post-arrest in Chicago over the weekend before heading back to New York for two shows at Madison Square Garden.
So cry me a river.
